Cookie policy

This website places only strictly necessary cookies without consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only after you have explicitly agreed, through a banner where "Reject all" is as prominent as "Accept all".

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. They are used to make a website work, to remember what you've chosen, and to measure how the site is used. In the Netherlands, placing non-essential cookies is only permitted with the visitor's prior, informed consent.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are needed to make the website work and may be placed without consent. Think of a cookie remembering your preferred language, or the technical cookie that keeps the booking process working. They don't collect information about your browsing on other websites.

Analytics cookies

We use analytics cookies to understand which pages get viewed and where visitors drop off, so we can improve the website. These are placed only if you consent. If you haven't consented, these scripts do not load at all — they are activated only after you click accept.

Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies are used to show or measure advertising. We place these only after your explicit consent. If we don't run an advertising campaign, these cookies are not placed at all.

Managing and withdrawing consent

You can withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page. We record which choice you made, including when, so we can demonstrate that we had your consent.

We do not use a cookie wall: you can use the entire website without consenting to analytics or marketing cookies. The "Accept all" and "Reject all" buttons sit side by side, in the same styling, and take the same number of clicks.

Supervision

In the Netherlands, the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) supervises the Telecommunications Act, which includes the cookie rules. The Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) supervises the GDPR. The AP automatically scans thousands of Dutch websites each year for cookie notices, and has warned more than two hundred organisations in recent years about misleading banners.
