Acrylic nails
Acrylic nails are sculpted onto your natural nail using a liquid-and-powder system. They're stronger than gel polish, and the right choice if you want to add length. A full set at Bella Rosa takes 75 minutes and costs €50.

Who are acrylic nails for?
Acrylic is the best choice if you want extra length, if your natural nails split easily, or if you're after a shape that gel polish alone can't hold. The sculpted layer is more rigid than gel and lasts around three to four weeks on average. That also makes it popular with clients in demanding jobs — hospitality, healthcare, teaching — where nails take a beating. During the consultation we look at the condition of your natural nail and agree the shape: almond, square, coffin or round. We avoid filing into the natural nail more than necessary, which keeps the foundation healthy.
Maintenance and infills
After two to three weeks the nail grows out and a gap appears at the cuticle. At that point you can choose an infill: we rebuild only the regrown area and rework the shape. An infill takes about 60 minutes and costs less than a fresh set. After two or three infills it's sensible to have the nails fully rebalanced, so we can assess the condition of the natural nail underneath. Removal is always done in the salon using a file and solvent — pulling them off yourself damages the nail bed and can take months to recover from.
