Gel polish
Gel polish is a long-wear nail coating cured under a UV lamp. At Bella Rosa a gel polish treatment takes 45 minutes and costs €35. Your nails are dry the moment you leave and stay glossy for up to three weeks — ideal when time is short.

What happens during the treatment
We start by shaping your nails and gently tidying the cuticles, so the gel sits neatly and resists lifting. The nail surface is then buffed to give the gel a secure grip. You get a thin base coat, two coats of colour of your choice, and a protective top coat — each cured under the UV lamp. The whole appointment takes around 45 minutes and your nails are dry immediately. If you'd like a French tip or simple nail art, allow an extra 10 to 15 minutes.
How long does it last?
Most clients get two to three weeks from a gel polish treatment. Exactly how long varies from person to person and depends on your nail growth, your job and how you use your hands. Nails grow roughly 3 millimetres a month, so after a fortnight you'll see a small gap at the cuticle. Regular maintenance — every two to three weeks — keeps them looking sharp and stops you picking at them. We recommend having gel professionally removed rather than pulling it off, which damages the natural nail surface.
